How To Recreate This Matte Effect

It looks like very simple lighting, however playing around with the tone curves I'm unable to come anywhere near this effect.

These are not my photos, they can be found at: http://jeffreymosierphotography.com/

Im going a roadtrip soon so I'm really trying to reverse engineer these (and learn a buttload along the way).

I have a few raw files that I've taken with different lighting in order to work on them but I can't seem to upload CR2 files here.

Photoshop Effect Of Lighting Setup In This Photo?

Hello guys! A friend of mine wants me to take a photo of him similarly as the image attached in this post. I wonder if the "warm" colours of this photo have been created by the lighting setup or by a PS filter; if so, how can I recreate it? Thank you very much for your attention.

P.S. Sorry for my English, i'm Italian

How Do You Think This Awesome Effect Was Achieved?

Hi all,

I've been seeing this advert around London a lot recently and really like the effect they've used on the photos. I had a go but can't work it out.

I'm an intermediate level Photoshop user so have a basic understanding of most aspects of the programme so however you think it has been done just let me know and i'll have a go at it on a few of my own photos and post back.

Thanks for the help

Help Get Rid Of Gradient Circles When Applying Lighting Effects

So I applied the lighting effects (in filter/render) to my background, and when i zoom in, I can see these ugly gradient circles, that may appear when I print out the background. Is there any way to make the lighting smooth without these circles? Thanks for help

Can You Show Me How To Duplicate This Text Effect?

Hi there. First-timer here. Please redirect me if this isn't the right department.
I maintain and upgrade a website for some musician friends of mine. An *actual* artist-designer did the original. I managed to take his main page header, preserve the two names in the upper right, and I can make new page headers with the same font and a partial rendering of the same effect. But I can't get the whole shebang.

Can't see how to insert a pic, so I will attach one. The only part I can get is Bevel and Emboss. Dunno what the rest of the process is. (Also he seems to have used a fatter (bold?) version of Monotype Corsiva than I'm getting in PS. Maybe he made it outside. Maybe he modified it thru the magic of science. Maybe it's Maybelline.

In the end, I could maybe get back to the artist, or have my friends ask him to make a header here and there, but I'm wondering if someone here can reverse-engineer the text effect.

Thanks,
denno

Pewdiepie Look

Hey guys, I'm new at this forum and I came here just because I've searched so much on the internet for some video or tutorial that help me make this effect above. I know that have many posts around this effect but none of them seems to be this one that the YouTuber PewDiePie use to do on his photos.

That's a mix of oil painting and unsharp mask perhaps, I don't think he uses Topaz plug-ins... I can get close but I can't get equal, can someone help me? Thank you already!
