Defining A Pattern And Keeping It

WheneverI define a pattern, I want it to be there for later use. Problem, where do I find it? I looked in my pattern folder and don't see it. Where is it or is there something else I have to do to save it before I close it out?

Thanks,

Possible To Add A Custom Pattern To Outerglow?

Hello all,

I'm a bit of a PS newbie, but I was wondering, is it possible to add a custom Pattern to use for Outerglow?

For instance, if there was a specific pattern, let's call it a polka dot pattern that I have custom created, is it possible to somehow import this into Outerglow and select this?

I hope that makes sense.

Thanks in advance!

Help With Creating This Pattern

Hi All,

I am new to this site. Seems like a great place to be. I am looking for help in creating this deco pattern. It is seen in the background of the attached poster. I thought the main object of the pattern was repeating circles but when I tried replicating it just seemed wrong. Then, once the object is figured out, I am guessing it is offset but that too is confusing to me because of the overlapping in back and front. Ack! I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Need Pattern Stamp Tool Without Pixel-wide White Boundary

Unfortunately the pattern stamp tool insists on having one or two pixel-wide white edge on my touch ups. No brush type or amount of hardness I choose from the tool options bar gets rid of this. Any idea how I can set the pattern stamp tool to have a hard edge, so hard there's absolutely no fade to white at all on the edges.

Transform Issue

Here's a picture of a pattern on top of another picture. I'm trying to transform the pattern (ctrl+T) in a perspective mode but it gives me the message you see on the screen.
The problem is that I've done this before and it has worked.
Am I missing something?

I've noticed that it will work for the "fill" function in the "edit" menu at the top but won't work for the adjustment layer icon at the bottom of the layers palette area.

How Can I Use Multiple Overlay Effects Simultaneously In Photoshop?

There are 3 overlay effects available in Photoshop as layer styles: Color, Gradient and Pattern. The problem: these effects come in a strictly fixed order!

Is it possible to make a translucent Gradient Overlay over a Color Overlay using only layer styles? Or a Multiply Pattern and Color Overlays?

Outlining A Layer/item With Vector Based Image?

Hi guys,

Forgive me as I'm still learning the terminology used in Photoshop. So here's what I'm trying to do. I want to snap a bicycle chain to the work path I created around a logo. Basically have a bicycle chain bend and maneuver it's way around the whole outside of this logo which is it's own layer. So far all I've been able to do is get it to reveal the bike chain using a brush with a pattern I created. I can't actually bend the bike chain or have it follow the path. The pattern I made is made up of multiple links in the chain, and is a fairly sizable image, should I just go for one link in the chain and make it much smaller, and then try it again?

Thanks for any help!
