I keep seeing these "rings" on color backgrounds on TV or in print. It looks like a "halo" effect or circular, concentric rings but only on solid graphic backgrounds.
An AD said there is a name for this but I forgot-- anyone here know it?
I cannot see the concentric rings when using the Adjustment Brush to adjust the brush size in Camera Raw CS5. Is there something that I need to click to see the rings?
Hello, I am looking to fix the barrel distortion- fisheye effect of photos taken from my quadcopter. From the altitude, the lens distortion is very pronounced.
So, within Photoshop CS6 went to "filter" Menu -> Lens Correction ...and under "Auto Correction" -> "Camera Make" Gopro does not appear in the dropdown list like it does in the online videos I have found to correct this.
..What gives?
Hallo everybody,
I make a photo with an wide angle lens and now i'd like to add some 2d and 3d graphic and vectors. Of course I'd like to preserve the original lens distortion, therefore I need to APPLY lens distortion to my graphics to match with photo distortion. How can I make It? There is a plugin or inside effect in Photoshop?
Many thanks!
P.s. Again, NOT REMOVE but APPLY lens distortion.
Hi all,
How to create something like this? The splash and "wear-off/dirty/not solid color" effect of each letter looks nice.
Please guide me on this.
Thanks,
Maravixa
Hello everyone,
I have a very big issue that I don't know how to sort out.
I'm creating some mockups of some fashion products and I'm planning to use some "light strokes" effects.
Usually you achieve this blending some light strokes on a black background on using "Multiply" etc. on an image that has a dark background [in this way the black background of the light strokes disappears]. I tried to do this on backgrounds more "clear" but the light strokes cannot be seen [same for flames or whatever is "light"].
Does someone know how to blend light on white?
Thank you very much in advance!
Best
Hi,
I'm wondering if this is possible:
The right side is what I'm trying to achieve.
It's a simple enough effect, but the problem is that I'm curious if it can be some sort of dynamic effect in that I can change the "A" text to "B" and still have the outline cut out of the "M" (Or whatever if I need to change the "M" text to "Q" or something).
Basically I need the "A" and "M" to be able to change while the stroke of whatever the "A" letter (or shape) is will always cut out whatever shape, text, or image is placed behind it.
Is this possible without having to manually cut it out of the back image every time?
The illusion can easily be created by having a white background and using a white stroke on the "A" (that creates the effect I'm wanting)..
However I need them to be transparent and easily editable so they can be saved as transparent images for multiple uses quickly and easily.
(I apologize if I didn't get this across very clearly)
hi guys! reserved here! i just recently started up a new MLG Team for my Gaming Community XGC "Xiled Gaming Community" my team consists of some of the best players within xgc and we need a logo, so i was wondering if someone would be awesome enough to make one for me?
if you decide to what id like is rather simple for right now, all i want is to have like a 3D style text maybe with the first text "XG" in bold and the color to be yellow, now i want all the text to be diagonal starting from the bottom left to the top right if possible. then right under that text i want "Xiled Gamers" same text same color. then behind all the text i was like a shattered glass effect right where the "XG" is going across the whole thing if possible. if someone could do this for me, my whole team and i will be forever grateful!
I'm having a design done for a 5 x 2 paper label. Here is what the label company told me,
Just ask your designer to add 1/8" bleeds on the graphic file size. If you are ordering a 5" x 2" , the graphic file's size should 5.25" x 2.25".
I printer out the design on my own printer, and the size is indeed about 5.25 x 2.25
I guess I'm confused about bleed. To compensate for bleed on a 5 x 2 label, shouldn't the file size be smaller, like 4.75 x 1.75 ?
Wouldn't a 5.25 x 2.25 file size print well over the actual label?
Thanks.
My guy is a fan of professional wrestling. A couple of years ago he ran a sort of internet tournament thing once a month and, in the style of professional wrestling, it was a grand production. I was responsible for producing a poster in the theme of that particular show. I usually only had about a weekend to produce a themed graphic. I was relatively new to producing graphics on Photoshop and was pretty proud of myself. I enjoyed the challenge and the online audience (it was not a graphics forum, obviously) thought I was a wiz.
I was cleaning out my hard drive just recently and came across those posters. It's horrifying. Terrible cuts, bad blending, effects that scream "I don't know what I'm doing on Photoshop!!". Very humbling.......
I'm not sure what the moral of the story is, except to wonder if anyone else goes back and winces at the stuff you did "back in the day".
Hey guys,
So I'm a rather new music producer and I make some wallpapers for my tracks using Photoshop and then put some effects in there using Adobe After Effects.
So I usually just use either a gradient or an image in there, but it's rather hard to find images without copyright that look good and fit the track title.
And gradients kinda look boring (just a few colors that overflow).
So I was wondering how people make these kind of backgrounds:
(quality kinda sucks because I had it on 480p by accident, but you get the point)
Or a bit different style like this:
Or this:
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: I know the "READ ME BEFORE POSTING" thread clearly said "rather use img tags instead of linking to external websites" but it kept saying that I exceeded my tags by 20. So yeah, changed it into this. If anyone wants me to upload it to Imgur or something instead I'll do that.
