Hi,
I made a newspaper advt of 8x7cms. I worked on a actual size @ 600dpi file. The result looks extremely clear and the text is very legible, but when it turned out on the newsprint the text dulled down as if swallowed by the solid black bg it was on. The design isn't very busy or anything. Its just solid black bg with pure white text on it. Im using photoshop CS4. I rendered to a high res jpg and converted to a pdf (since the newspaper wanted it as pdf) and delivered it. The pdf also was razor sharp even at 500%. But yet in print the white text was as if it thinned down and thereby looked dull and incomprehensible.
Any help on what i should do will be greatly appreciated please.
Thanks
I am planning to print this attached graphic onto a tshirt on the front pocket area as a logo. When I put this logo onto the template and begin to pull the handles out to increase the size the image and text seems to pixilate and look somewhat poor. Any help keeping the text and graphic sharp would be appreciated. I plan to print this on a white t-shirt so I added a yellow oval with a little texture and border shading as well. If anyone wants to take a stab at making the background cooler (different color or texture, maybe even a fade would be welcome as examples). If you play with this and do any work posting up the .psd file for me to work from following your help would be appreciated. One other thing that is bugging me but that has been elusive is how might I drop the gray shadow text that falls underneath the web url? Even if I hide the text the shadow seemd to remain on the yellow oval. I will be posting a picture I have worked on for the back of this shirt in a seperate post as well.
Thanks,
Joe
I was sent a jpg image that is primarily black and white, but has red text. It's flattened, but I need to give this image to the printer to be printed that way - the only red will be the text. I tried converting it to greyscale, then to duotone, but it puts a red tint on everything. I've tried adjusting the lines, but I can't get it where only the text is red. Isn't there a way to choose what areas I want the second color on? Thanks!
I did find a post to this but the solution did not help me and it was over a year ago so I did not want to bump an old thread. Here was the post I came across
"I'm having a bit of a strange problem with the text tool on CS4 at the moment.
When I have drawn a work-path with the pen tool and then attempt to type along it the text does now show up and I cannot edit it.
The cursor changes when I hover over the start of the path to indicate that the type path is available but once I click and start typing nothing seems to happen. The name of the text layer changes to what I've just typed however so it is definitely inputting it somewhere."
This is exactly what I am dealing with now. The solution in the original thread said make sure the text is not white on white background ( mine is black on transparent ) and is left justified and not center or right. My text is left justified and it still does not show up. My text is Wet Dynamite. The odd thing is my font size is currently 72, if I drop it down to 48, the W shows if I go smaller it disappears again. Even at 48 when the W shows, if I try to retype, I still can't see the rest of the phrase. I have done this method before and had no issues in the past with this technique. This seems like a bug in CS4 to me.
Any help with this would be great as I can't get past this stage in my design and can't use the warp tool for text because it looks like crap.
Thank you for your time. Ive saved my project out into a test file so you can see. If you can load it and easily see or add the text in the top curved path, then I know there has to be an issue with my CS4
Hi all.
I'm no newbie to Photoshop but today I came across something that annoyed me as it should be easy, but I just can't seem to make it work.
Ok, so let's say I have a load of text - lorem ipsum x 200 words - and I want to put that text in a shape and have it fill the shape.
Now, I know that I can make a path and click within it with the text tool to fill that path. However, I want to fill a shape that has a complex hole in the middle of it, which I want the text to flow around and past.
For example, let's say that I need to fill the area marked in green in the image below with text, leaving the white areas (there is also a white border) clear.
I have made a path but when I use the type tool it just fills in the rectangle and ignores the central area.
Any ideas?
Hi Guys!
I was wondering if it's possible to make the white text on the underwear more prominent so that you can read it easily? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi everyone I'm a complete beginner with photoshop, I have CS6 I'm looking to copy a style of text from a photo and replace it with other text.
The style of text I am trying to copy is from a stamp so I don't think it will be in selection of texts available in photoshop, have tried looking around youtube for tutorials but I cannot find anything along these lines.
I've attached a photo of the text I would like to change, it says JUN 2014 I would like to change it to AUG 2014 using the same text.
Any advice much appreciated
Thanks
Hello,
I am trying to help a neighbor with a birthday invitation in CS4. For some reason, when we print the image, the text color is missing. We are trying to print the image on pink paper. The text layers are a silver color. No matter what color we change the text layers to, it won't print them in the chosen color. It just shows up as the pink paper. I have attached a screen shot.
Could anyone please tell me what I am doing wrong?
Hi,
I want to create my own image like the attached. I can create the whirlpool /funnel (or black hole, or whatever it's technically called). I know how to make the color bands and all that.
What I don't know is how to wrap the text. (here's the text is just a zero or one to represent data).
FYI - I have PS CS6
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
Confused in Charlotte
I'm trying to duplicate an Oklahoma City Thunder shirt for my university.
I know how to place an image behind text, but I'm having trouble getting it to look like I want. If I use one big text box, I can't get the letters close enough together.
If I use multiple text boxes, I can't get all the clipping masks to come together right.
Is there anyway to nudge the text together like you can in indesign?
Just looking for any help here!
Thanks!
Hi folks!
I don't use much text tool, but it's for curiosity.
When I type some word with text tool, all works fine, but when I tyoe a number or a dot in example, it puts in the beginning of the text...
