Heyhey dear PSG-community,
A week ago, 2 functions of photoshop stopped working for me. I remember there was an windows8-Update at that time, this maybe a clue?
LMB/RMB = right/left mouse button
I'm mainly using photoshop to draw digital, thus I'm very used to the [alt+space+dragLMB] zoom method. But now it just doesn't work at all.
I also recognized that the red circle overlay dissapeared, which should normally display how much hardness your brush has when using the [ALT + dragRMB Up/Down] method.
I use both methods very frequently so this is driving me crazy. Does anyone have an idea how to fix them?
Im using photoshop CS6
what i tryed so far:
- checking my preferences > cursors setting (normal brush tip checked, color set to red)
- checking my preferences > performance > graphic processing settings (they are grayed out)
- pressing shift+crtl+alt directly after starting photoshop
- reinstalling Photoshop
- closing all other programs exept background processes and my antivir-program
- updating photoshopCS6 to the newest version
- updating my video driver
I need a hero to same my day TT.TT <HELP!!!
I have a problem with photoshop. Everything I do gets pixelated.
When I paste or place an object from Illustrator CS6 I choose place as smart object and as soon as I pace it it gets pixelated. I have tried with and without the anti-aliased box checked. When the box is checked photoshop pixelates the image and when the box is not checked the image looks really strange and digital with the pixels showing. All curves that were smooth and nice in Illustrator looks jagged and strange.
When I try and draw a shape in photoshop it looks in the layer-list like it's a shape layer but the object is heavily pixeled.
I have tried opening a file created in Autocad (by using dwg to PDF) and opening it as a smart object in Photoshop. Everything is pixelated.
When starting a new file in PS I have a 300 pix per inch resolution, 16 bits RGB color, sRGB IEC61966-2.1 as my color profile and square pixels as my pixel aspect ratio.
Under general preferences I have the box for "Place or drag raster images as smart objects" (I have also tried without it). I have also tried with the box for "snap vector tools and transform to pixel grid" on and off.
Regardless of what i do photoshop still pixelates everything. I have no idea what to do. Could there be some sort of setting that I have overlooked?
There are 3 overlay effects available in Photoshop as layer styles: Color, Gradient and Pattern. The problem: these effects come in a strictly fixed order!
Is it possible to make a translucent Gradient Overlay over a Color Overlay using only layer styles? Or a Multiply Pattern and Color Overlays?
I have been looking for days to see if there's a Photoshop brush set that creates 3d-ish strokes like an artist's palette knife would; rather like a smear of oil pain, clay or anything like that. I've only been with Photoshop for 20-years so you'd think I'd know this but I simply don't. Thanks for the help.
Please !!!!!
Hello Photoshop Guru forum, I think I need one such guru's help for something- I'm trying to conform a graphic logo image with text (currently using a non-vector) to curve along the edge of a circle without distorting the letters and such. The warp tool is somewhat helpful but too haphazard. In general I use PS more for painting and such, so my experience working with paths is limited.. anyone know what technique makes the most sense in this situation?
To reiterate, this is for a sticker project, so I'm trying to wrap a logo along the edge of a circular sticker. It doesn't occupy too much space, as it's going along the curve with other text. Using Photoshop CS4 on a Mac. Thanks for any assistance you guys can offer.
Hi People,
Okay, on google earth you have the option to overlay images onto areas of the planet. For me this is useful to see where a cave runs in respect to the overlying land above. It gives you the option to change the Opacity of the overlain image to show more image or more 'earth', which is nice. However I got to thinking and decided to try and remove all the background white of the survey, then overlay it giving a clearer image of the surrounding land. Unfortunately I end up with the the deleted white showing as brickwork (I understand its to show what is gone and whats left in Photoshop) when I overlay to google earth.
My current survey is a TIFF file.
So is it possible to save an edited image in a file type that when overlain wont show the brick image you get on Photoshop of deleted background.
Is there a file type that can achieve this, and if so what is it?
Thanks in advance
Joe
Hi everybody,
I'l like just to ask what do ypu suggest about choosing a versatile Color Space for Color Correction for these actual times in witch we have the necessity to deliver a lot of graphic asset formats (for Web and Print and Video...).
So,we should be work in Photoshop, to make Color Correction, assign a good Color profile (color space) as standard sRGB, or better, with Adobe RGB or ProPhoto RGA as top quality.
Only the end, if we are ready with CC process, we should save some different .psd file versions as CMYK (for print issue), Rec. 709, (if we have to use photo in video), sRBG for web.
Is it a good choice/workflow, or I'm wrong...?
Many thanks for a reply!
Cheers
Hi everybody!I was drawing on my tablet in Photoshop. I just saved my work in PSD extension (as I always do because it allows me to use it in different programs like Photoshop,Corel,IllustStudio and SAI without merging the layers), then I went and added few more 'dots' on it, then saved it again so I can get out of the program, but whole computer froze and I waited for atleast 5-7 min but it wouldn't unfreeze itself so I manually restarted it. When I turned it on and went to check on my file, it wouldn't want to open in neither of the programs I have!Every program kept saying: ' Could not complete your request because it is not a valid Photoshop document.'Please help me, I've been doing this piece whole day, and it's one of my best works ever, I really don't want to loose it.Thanks all.
i have a signature watermark i put on my favorite images currently i have it is saved as a psd so i open it then move it onto the image, i was trying too create a brush that done this but the writing is white so becomes transparent when i make a new brush and only the camera icon is visible, i also tried to create an action where i recorded opening the psd , moving it onto an image, i was hoping this would work but didnt , something about move brush not defined if i remember, also the brush i created turns out sort of a green color see bottom image i know there probably a simple way around it and would appreciate any help , ive attatched an image of the signature so you know where im at , its transparent i just put a grey layer behind so you can see,
Hi to all
I'm sorry for my not so great title, but I just don't eally know how to call what I want to do...
In general, I want to create a picture that if I were to duplicate it and put it on top of the original, it will "connect" and look like a continuation of the original picture.
This is an example of what I wanna do:
I can't use the same method I've used here to create what I want, 'cause I wanna do it on a more complex picture. Like this:
If such an ability can't be achived then maybe is there a way, that if I'm drawing using the brush tool but there is not enough space for the whole brush to be drawn, it will not be drawn?
That is a background for a video game that I am working on and it is very important to me. So if anyone in here know how I can draw things without them being sliced by the borders on the canvas please help me.
Thanks in advance,
Liav
Hello,
I'm an amateur photographer and did a photo shoot for a friend.
I used a colored background (1 color) but I now want to change that background to white.
I already tried myself with Photoshop and as you Photoshop experts definitely know, changing most of the background is very easy but it's not that easy to do it in such a way that the 'borders' of the person look natural
I'm looking here for someone who is good in this (so definitely no Photoshop amateur) and who's willing to do this for me. I'm prepared to pay a small fee (via Paypal) for it because I want it to be perfect.
I'm talking about 6 photos.
Please note that I don't want the background color to be changed everywhere to 100% white, the (small) shadows of the background (like in the corners of the photo) and the 'gradient' in the background have to stay so it looks more natural.
If you are very experienced in this and if you are interested in this small job, please send me a PM.
Thanks a lot in advance,
Kate
