Please Remove The Man From This Image

Could someone please remove the man and the bench he is sitting on from this image so that it just looks like the wall (natural). Also when I set the image to my desktop, the height is perfect but the sides are too short so rather than stretch the image, could you just add on more wall either side of the lady so it fits 1900*1080 resolution?

I added two images just so you understand what I mean and how I want it to look

As you can see the wall just extends thats so it will fit my 1920*1080 resolution without having to stretch the image

If someone can do this for me I would be very greatful!

P.S Homeland is a fantastic show and you should watch it if you have not already

Downsize Image . Resize Collage . Keep Quality .

Hello! Very much so a noob question . ive done my research and im just here for a very definite tutorial . im learning how to resize images from Big to small. Only problem is i cant seem to keep the high quality resolution . Ive included both images .. the "moonshine" collage is what id like to minimize. The "Whiskey" image is able to be downsized with no resolution loss when i downsize why? ID also like to keep them PNG or transparent in the background .

the moonshine collage image is one i made in photoshop cs6.

id like to make them W:280 pixels H:110 pixels/100 pixels

Theres a screen shot of the photo in place . The GREEN image is the image in low resolution , which i cannot figure why . the other RED image is how id like all my images to appear . There both pretty big original images as well ..

Looking For Help With An Avatar Image.

Hey there!

I've used a certain image as my avatar on various websites and I'd really like it redone by some awesome artist. Basicly just a remake/updated version of the image below.

So what I'm looking for in the image is a red devil that has a beer belly and white boxers with red hearts on them and who is wielding(?) a trident. Weird request I believe, I don't know if theres people doing this kind of stuff, but I decided to ask anyway.

The old image I have is quite a poor one, very small resolution also, but I hope you'd get the idea from the image:

(Also the beard and eyebrows of this one are awesome )
As of the new images resolution, I dont think it matters as much, I can downscale it myself I believe, but it will be used as an avatar on forums and steam etc.

Thanks in advance if someone's willing to do this for me.

Photoshop Resolution To Print Questions

Hi,

I am learning Photoshop in the hope of printing posters. I have questions regarding printing. Originally, when you create an image the resolution is set to 72 pixels/inch. I have learned I need to switch that to 300 pixel/inch.

1)Will I have to recreate all my images from scratch in 300 resolution?

2)Do I lose a lot of quality on the final product if i convert 72 -> 300.

3)My images are 11x17, when i hit 100% and view rulers, it shows my image at roughly a 3:1 ratio, why does it do this?

4)Can I view what a final printed image will look like with in Photoshop?

5)How do I preserve quality when switching to 300 resolution?

6)Say I use an image that is originally 600x600, will switching to 300 resolution make the new image horrible?

I may have more questions with as these get answered,
Thank you,
Geokatz

Maximize Quality/minimize Size

Hello,

I am completely new to this forum so I apologize if this is posted in the wrong place. I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and have a question regarding file size/quality. So, here it goes.

I am currently working on publication that requires all downloaded photos to be uploaded to a website that has a max file size of 20 mb. When I download an image to use for a background (some sort of a pattern that is normally somewhere around 800 x 800 size) the image is about 180 kb which is perfect. Unfortunately, the image has a poor ppi resolution and prints extremely blurry so in photoshop under image size, I increase the resolution so that the file size & resolution is bigger. This takes a lot of guessing on my part.

For example, if I increased the image resolution to 100000000 ppi, the file size would end up way over 20 mb which does me no good. So what I am wondering is, is if there is a way to optimize the the resolution of the image, given the file size limitations, without all of the guess and check?

If this looks confusing, I apologize and will gladly explain more. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stretching A 16-bit Image Without Changing Pixel Values

I have a 16 bit image which , due to raw pixel values, appears mostly black when first imported into PS. I can use auto contrast to stretch the image and to make edits, however this changes every pixel value. Is there a way to edit a stretched image then revert back to the original pixel values? I need to maintain the raw pixel values, as these are data I need to use for calculations. I saw one suggestion about using an Adjustment layer then cloning pixel values, but the adjustment layer will not stretch properly to see the image. Any suggestions?

Increasing Image Height

Note that what i really wanna do is just increase the height of the picture .

Google Earth Image Overlay

Hi People,

Okay, on google earth you have the option to overlay images onto areas of the planet. For me this is useful to see where a cave runs in respect to the overlying land above. It gives you the option to change the Opacity of the overlain image to show more image or more 'earth', which is nice. However I got to thinking and decided to try and remove all the background white of the survey, then overlay it giving a clearer image of the surrounding land. Unfortunately I end up with the the deleted white showing as brickwork (I understand its to show what is gone and whats left in Photoshop) when I overlay to google earth.

My current survey is a TIFF file.

So is it possible to save an edited image in a file type that when overlain wont show the brick image you get on Photoshop of deleted background.
Is there a file type that can achieve this, and if so what is it?

Thanks in advance

Joe

Where Oh Where Do My Placed Images Go?

I am building a composite image, create a new image clean white background and drag from bridge the images I want to use in the composite. Here's my issue...the images I have brought in are automatically turned into smart objects..( love those) so I open one of those placed S/O images and edit/adjust it then save and close...like it should the composite reflects the change. I can open and close that s/o as many times and make tons of changes...again awesome....but I may want to use that same image by itself and want to retain those changes....but when I go to the folder that I took the image from, the original image does not reflect any of those changes.

So my question is, where on my computer does the edited version of the placed image get stored...I'm guessing a temp folder somewhere, but can't find it!! Any body know?

Thanks
Brendan

Cc Image Dimensions Wrong

Image shot on 5D Mk3 - using viewfinder not Live View.
Image converted to DNG.
In CC Bridge dimensions are as expected 5760 x 3840, in CC Photoshop under Image Size, dimensions are 1920 x 1280 (Original Size).

Same image in CS6 PS, dimensions given are correct i.e. 5760 x 3840

Any pointers as to what is going on and how to get the correct dimensions showing in CC PS, would be much appreciated.

Cutting Out Clipping Mask Images

Hi all,

I have a problem with an image that I would appreciate your help with.

As you can see below, the image is a t-shirt shape made up of several images like a collage/mosaic (ignore the fact that the same image is repeated, they will eventually be different images).

I have achieved this by applying clipping masks to the different image layers over the top of the t-shirt image. What I now want to do is individually save all of these images so that they can be used as buttons in Adobe Flash. This is the part I am having trouble with.

I have tried using the slice tool which does work however the saved slices are all square shaped when obviously each individual image is not always a square/rectangle. Even saving them as a .png with a transparent background, I still can't use them as when they are brought into Flash, the whole square area becomes clickable as a button which I don't always want.

Hope I've made sense there!

Thank you.
