Hey,
So my friends and I are doing a project for our history class, in which we will give a speech and run a green screen news telecast video. One of the the actors in our videos is going to play the president and give a speech. I basically need a background to put behind him. I was wanting something similar to the picture below. My main two questions are how would I remove the president, and scale the picture without loosing quality? It does not have to be this exact picture but just something similar onto which I can place our video onto using after effects and green screening. Any tutorials would be apprciated too, as I am willing to learn, but if it is easier for someone to quickly do the shop that would be fine too.
thanks,
David
Hi everyone, my name is Jay and I am a very basic user of Photoshop.
I just really need some help with a Photoshop question; although I think it is an advanced request, I am willing to learn.
If I have a picture of a creased hoody for example
and then I take a picture of another hoody that is non-creased for example
is it possible to merge the red hoody onto the white hoody but keep the detail of the white hoody i.e like the creases
If there are any other easier ways to do this please let me know.
Also another question too add to the mix was if I took a picture of a hoody lying on the floor, can I give it depth to make it look professional or some how put a piece of clothing on a picture of me.
The reason for this, is I am in a wheelchair and I want to see what my clothes look like actually being worn.
Thanks for the help
Jay
I am trying to make some videos using still images but want to add some creativity to them. I want to be able to make certain subjects in the images pop out like in the following two videos:
(I can't post links so you will have to search you tube for the following videos)
1. George Strait's "Troubadour" official video (use these search words: "george strait troubadour")
2. Cee Lo Green's "Thank you" video (use these search words: "thank you cee lo green" -its the firefighter video)
Sorry for not posting links but my account is not allowed to post links yet.
I want to use the 3d/pop-out style effects. I am not sure where to start on how to get certain elements in the image to pop out and others blur into the background. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Everyone,
I have a simple and hopefully quick fix. The tie was not adjusted in the picture and photographer did not pay attention to the detail and this picture will be used for the year book. I was wondering if somebody would be willing to take. I submitted a tie picture I had gotten fixed for my mothers birthday a few months ago so I was hoping I could get lucky again.
Any help would be appreciated.
Tie fix
EDIT: I realized that I ruined the picture dimensions trying to adhere to the forum attachment rules. I am fixing it at the moment and uploading a new picture.

can anyone help please?
Hi!
I have a dilemma with a high resolution picture that I want to use on a large screen. The problem is the screen has a low resolution which seem to distort the picture sometimes. Also I would like to zoom in the picture.
The monitor is a 47 inch HP LD4720tm sporting a 1,920 by 1,080 resolution. So the resoultion is like an ordinary desktop monitor but the size is more than double that. In other words, the pixel density (ppi) is much smaller.
The picture is of a clock. Size is about 670X670 pixels. I cropped out this clock from a larger 12MP Raw format Nikon picture. The cropped out clock looks something like this (my real image is copyright protected but this is very similar with 700x644px):
On the screen this picture should take up a fixed size of 170X170 pixels (ie about 10% of the monitor).
The first way I did this was to simply in Photoshop Elements save the 670X670 picture as a png and with dimensions 170X170 pixels. ("Save for web" to get it as small in size as possible and chose png and 170X170). Then I put the 170X170 pic on the background canvas. It looks very nice. However, when I zoomed in the numbers and other details look very jagged or blurry.
So now I tried with the larger resolution 670X670px. I put this on the background too, and as it should only take up 170X170px, I clicked it and dragged to resize it. But this picture looks much worse than the 170X170 pic. I suppose the 170X170 pic perfectly fits the 170X170 space while the 670X670px is distorted. I mean, for the 170X170 pic there will be one pixel for each monitor point. When I do the exact same comparison on a 21 inch 1920X1080 monitor they look equally good, so it must be due to the low pixel density of the 48 inch monitor where the human eye can see each pixel.
However, now when I zoom in the details for the 670X670px were clearly visible.
I tried a few other resoultions like 360X360 and 270X270 (I resized the 670X670 pic to these sizes) and both png and jpeg. They also looked worse in normal view but of course in zoomed view they displayed more details than the 170X170 pic.
My dilemma now is how to get an image that will look good both when zoomed in and when in 100% zoom (normal view) on this large screen. Is there a way to do this. Eg like resizing to a resolution larger than 170X170 that will also look good in normal view.
Thanks.
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if someone could please help me out. I do not have Photoshop, so I just downloaded GIMP tonight. I am beginning to learn the ropes but would really like a photo edited in the mean time.
There is an annoying pipe in the 2 attached photos that I would like to be removed, if possible. If anyone can spare a few minutes to remove it that would be awesome. Also, the lion in the first picture doesn't seem to be as rich in color and/or in focus as he is in the second picture, so if a certain effect (the picture seems "whiter" than the 2nd, so maybe it's too bright?) can be used to help him stand out that would be great. I trust your opinions/suggestions, so if you want to mess around with it and add certain things please do. I'm sure these two edits are very basic (item removal and sharpening/adding color to an image), so I hope to learn how to do it in GIMP within the next few days.
Thanks so much
Hey, im at work now and i dont have access to photoshop, anyway, is there a chance anybody can remove the background of this and make the size 4x3CM (Centimeters)? I tried to do this in one of the "webphotoshop" pages but didnt work out that good.
Its for an ID card and i have already checked if im allowed to do this in this way.
I have attached the file to this thread.
Request: Remove the background and make it transparent or with a white background.
I think I came to the right place
So, I have this picture
This picture...Contains many gems. As you can see, behind the cross text of Rihanna and Kanye, there are words showing from the piece of paper behind it. A lot of letters are legible, but the full word is hard to make out. I noticed that when I tilt my screen though, it sort of becomes easier to read, however I still can't make out the words.
This can be key to unlocking a lot of information for Rihanna and Kanye fans, such as myself. If one of you are able to manipulate the picture to make the words behind the paper legible, I'm sure news outlets around the world will pick it up, and will credit this site.
So, if you guys are truly photoshop guru's, you should be able to do something. Prove yourselves..
This an image of myself. I have been trying to make it an overall better photo but I'm failing miserably. I know the background is a bit distracting, but I need help. I need this photo for my website, so I need it to look more like a professional portrait. Maybe some makeup, remove the background to something less noisy, sharpen it a bit, basically make it look like a model. Is that even possible? lol The reason I need to use this photo is it is the only one I have of myself with hair extensions in. My website is for hair extensions, so I feel this image is necessary. I do not currently have them in and do not want to put them back in for one picture. They are too long lasting for that.
Can anyone help me please? If not, can someone give me detailed instructions to do so in photoshop elements 9? Thank you!!
