Gopro Image In Photoshop - Lens Correction

Hello, I am looking to fix the barrel distortion- fisheye effect of photos taken from my quadcopter. From the altitude, the lens distortion is very pronounced.

So, within Photoshop CS6 went to "filter" Menu -> Lens Correction ...and under "Auto Correction" -> "Camera Make" Gopro does not appear in the dropdown list like it does in the online videos I have found to correct this.

..What gives?

[photoshop Cc] Apply Lens Distortion To Photo Compositing

Hallo everybody,
I make a photo with an wide angle lens and now i'd like to add some 2d and 3d graphic and vectors. Of course I'd like to preserve the original lens distortion, therefore I need to APPLY lens distortion to my graphics to match with photo distortion. How can I make It? There is a plugin or inside effect in Photoshop?

Many thanks!

P.s. Again, NOT REMOVE but APPLY lens distortion.

Help (learning) With Panorama

I've merged the original exposures into a panorama using PS's photo merge tool, and then used the Adaptive Lens filter to straighten it out. The merge gave a cup shape to the horizon. The Adaptive Lens filter wasn't as easy as expected, as just marking the horizon was not working and I could find no way to tell it that the projected line it drew was not following the right curve! But I found that making a bunch of overlapping small lines did the trick.

So here's what I have now:

Before I work on color, I need to get the composition right. The distant horizon is straight, and the change in features on the left is a natural place to have a bend, but maybe the distant horizon ought to be a bit curved after all? I'm open to suggestions.
The near space is too distorted and doesn't match, but having the feature provides for the opening up of the distance beyond it. But maybe it can be shaped or modified somehow?

Any suggestions or discussion on what I should do next?

Also, I've found that PS will not save a file if it runs larger than 2GB. A more enormous merge could not be saved with layers intact. This thing is already pushing 2GB, with one "smart" layer + the lens filter and a vibrancy adjustment layer.

What Did I Do Wrong?

I am trying to figure out what magnification my camera lens is shooting at, so I took a silver oxide battery and measured it with my digital calipers. It read out at 7.76 millimeters. I then took a picture of the battery with my lens at close focus and used a macro focusing rail to make minor adjustments to the focus and opened up the image in Photoshop CS6. I set the units to millimeters and used the ruler tool to measure the battery in the image. It said the battery was 660 millimeters. I am sure I did something wrong in the PS settings. I have included the image here. Would somebody please measure the battery in the image and tell me if I did something wrong? Thank you in advance for any help you can give me!

Question On Filter "fractalius"

Hello to PGurus! This my 1st Post & I am thankful for the resource(s) offered here!
My ?: I have MacBook Pro Ver. 10.6.8 w/ 8 gig RAM. The filter " Fractalius " only works on Windows. They will not make a Mac Version. So, can I run Photoshop CS-5 Extended through VirtualBox Ver. 4.16 software with XP on it (which I already have used to run Microsoft "Access" DataBase software), and be able to use this filter for my projects? Or is there any better way to achieve the same result? Thank You for your advice.

Bathroom Photoshop Colour Correction Help And Suggestions

Hello.
I've recently photographed a few local bathrooms using my 18-55mm lens on a Sony A58 body. Since Apple's new OS Yosemite doesn't support Sony's RAW files I was forced to shoot in JPEG resulting in a tremendous undertaking of excruciating colour correcting in Adobe's Photoshop Elements 10. After a long period of getting the image to the colour and style I wanted, I was faced with a more challenging problem. I am now currently trying to match the colour style of my first image with another photograph of the same bathroom. Since I kept it on the same Custom White Balance it should of been easy but the second image had the door of the bathroom open while the first image had the door closed resulting in a mixture of different colour temperatures. Is there anyway of matching the style in Photoshop Elements for these two photos?

Choosing A Versatile Color Space For Color Correction

Hi everybody,
I'l like just to ask what do ypu suggest about choosing a versatile Color Space for Color Correction for these actual times in witch we have the necessity to deliver a lot of graphic asset formats (for Web and Print and Video...).
So,we should be work in Photoshop, to make Color Correction, assign a good Color profile (color space) as standard sRGB, or better, with Adobe RGB or ProPhoto RGA as top quality.
Only the end, if we are ready with CC process, we should save some different .psd file versions as CMYK (for print issue), Rec. 709, (if we have to use photo in video), sRBG for web.
Is it a good choice/workflow, or I'm wrong...?

Many thanks for a reply!

Cheers

Toggle Between Acr And Ps ??

Hello All-

I don't understand how to go back & forth between ACR and PS with Raw (Nef) files. From ACR (after basic edits) I open to PS as "smart objects" having saved the last ACR settings before so, as a "snapshop" in ACR. This 1st snapshot is always available to the end. Once in PS I create a new Levels adjustment layer (for color correction) then return to ACR for further edits. After my final edits in ACR I take a snapshot. I now hit the OK button to return to PS for any final edits and "Save As" from there.

It doesn't matter if layers are merged or flattened before the save to Tif from PS, but when I go back into ACR I don't have a snapshot of the last edits I made within ACR, only the very first snapshot of the basics.

Why can't I save my last edits from ACR as snapshots within ACR before going to PS to save?

I would like to toggle between the two programs and save the edits in ACR snapshots within the original Raw file, yet be able to access the first snapshot that is the untouched raw file. I would like to do the edits, keep them, and retain an original raw file. I don't see how to do it going between ACR & PS.

This was a horribly confusing question to write, I did my best to explain it. Thanks for any suggestions at all....

Automating Tasks For Technical Specs/brochures

Hi Gurus,

Programmer here. I've been asked to do technical spec brochures for the company. Considering I'm not good at photoshop at all, I'd like to do automate as much as possible and have to do the least amount of manual work possible and make a template completely reusable.

I need these automated parts :

- Image of product easily replaceable
- List of specs easily editable
- Can add tabs and highlight one of them in order to show what category of products you are viewing (additional explanation : say, if you were looking at a product related to video surveillance you would have the tabs "cable", "camera", "recorder"; if you were looking at a product related to computers you would have the tabs "HDD", "processor", "monitor", "accessories"). The individual tabs must adjust their length so that the tab bar stays at constant length
- More generally, I want the individual visual elements to be able to adapt to different dimensions to keep the general look of the page aesthetic

And I need these constants :

- Logo and address at the top
- "Specifications" subtitle
- Tab bar is of constant length

I have an idea on how to program it with vector graphics in Java but it seems like an overcomplicated solution for this task. Is there a way to do this kind of task in Photoshop ?

Halo Rings Distortion On Graphics

I keep seeing these "rings" on color backgrounds on TV or in print. It looks like a "halo" effect or circular, concentric rings but only on solid graphic backgrounds.

An AD said there is a name for this but I forgot-- anyone here know it?

Photoshop Technique

I am trying to make some videos using still images but want to add some creativity to them. I want to be able to make certain subjects in the images pop out like in the following two videos:

(I can't post links so you will have to search you tube for the following videos)
1. George Strait's "Troubadour" official video (use these search words: "george strait troubadour")
2. Cee Lo Green's "Thank you" video (use these search words: "thank you cee lo green" -its the firefighter video)

Sorry for not posting links but my account is not allowed to post links yet.

I want to use the 3d/pop-out style effects. I am not sure where to start on how to get certain elements in the image to pop out and others blur into the background. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
