Need Help To Identify What Brush This Is And How To Replicate This

I was randomly sketching on CS5 (using brush) and I stumbled upon an effect that I was not able to replicate after. A relative newbie, no custom brush. using a wacom intuos that sometimes lost its settings and unresponsive.

If you look at the enclosed sketch, you can see that where the red arrows are pointing. Whenever I tried to draw a single stroke and turned a sharp corner, the ink seems to "bleed" to fill up the acute angle. The most obvious location is the nose on the left hand side, I draw the nose in one stroke, first the upper one, then when I turned the corner at the point of the nose, the ink "bleeds" as if trying to fill up the acute angle by capillary action. Similar effects were seen at the sharp chin, elbows, etc. wherever i turned a corner in one stroke. I thought this was a nice effect and I want to continue to do sketches in this way. However, after I closed CS5 and went back, I could not replicate such effect. I don't think I have change the brush at all. As you can see, on the right hand side are the 2nd trials, I lost the "bleeding" effect. I had no idea how I accidentally achieved such effect and I want to find out how! Could someone please identify what it is, what settings do I change to replicate this again? Any help would be highly appreciated!

Brush Not Behaving As It Should

Hello Everyone!

I am facing a problem with a brush in Photoshop CS6 Portable. I'm using a Wacom Intuos Pro and yesterday I drew a picture. Today I come back to that same picture and when I select it so I can work on it with the same brush, the nuances are gone. Meaning when I give a lighter stroke there isn't an increase in opacity, like a real brush effect. The stroke is just fully there or it isn't. I'm baffled to what might be the cause of this and feel like I've tried everything so if anyone can offer any help on this issue I would be forever grateful!

Edit: I think I solved it, I turned on always pressure for size and adjusted the brush size and it seems to give me the same brush I was using (yes I'm kind of a noob, especially with tablets), somehow it got turned off I guess? I was wondering though, is it possible to extract the exact brush info & brush parameters from a drawing, by for instance clicking on it?

Creating Car Light Trails Using "stroke Path With Brush"

Hi! I want to create some car light trails for a matte painting scene.

I'm using a "Stroke path with brush", applying Shape Dynamics so the brush size is reduced as it approaches the vanishing point of the scene (1st image).

However, when I use a Round Blunt tip (to produce a more realistic effect simulating the light trails of several cars, 2nd image), I'm not able to apply Shape Dynamics for the brush size (3rd image).

Do you know any other brush tip that could produce a realistic effect (such as in the 4th image), while also being able to reduce its size via Shape Dynamics?

Or what any other way could I achieve a similar result?

Thank you!

Multi-color Colored Brush Effect

Can This Be Done? Is It Even Possible?

Hi,
I'm wondering if this is possible:
The right side is what I'm trying to achieve.
It's a simple enough effect, but the problem is that I'm curious if it can be some sort of dynamic effect in that I can change the "A" text to "B" and still have the outline cut out of the "M" (Or whatever if I need to change the "M" text to "Q" or something).
Basically I need the "A" and "M" to be able to change while the stroke of whatever the "A" letter (or shape) is will always cut out whatever shape, text, or image is placed behind it.
Is this possible without having to manually cut it out of the back image every time?

The illusion can easily be created by having a white background and using a white stroke on the "A" (that creates the effect I'm wanting)..
However I need them to be transparent and easily editable so they can be saved as transparent images for multiple uses quickly and easily.
(I apologize if I didn't get this across very clearly)

Action Terminology -- I Need Help.

I saw this photoshop action the other day I was impressed with. I'm on the hunt for a similar Action but I'm completely lost on what search terms to use in my hunt.

I have 4 images that give you an idea what the action does. I will also use the images to help explain my confusion.

IMAGE 1 -- nothing special here -- just showing you the image loaded into PS.

IMAGE 2 -- Image 2 shows you the first step of the action. It basically gives you an outline of the image and changes the background. I would love to have the background color to be all white but all in all this is ok.

IMAGE 3 - In this image I'm showing that you can use any brush to paint in what you want to show on the image. This is where I get lost in my search. I have been looking for an action that can convert the background like you see in image 2 above and than give you the ability to paint what you want to show in the image. I have used terms like "sketch painting" "pencil painting" "painting image" "brush painting" "mask painting" but I can not find any actions that does what you see in these images.

IMAGE 4 - When you are done brushing , you can continue the action and it will change what you brushed in to look like a painting.

Ok..............I'm looking for actions that basically does the above. The two key elements of the action is how it handles the background and also gives me the ability to use a brush tool to paint what I want seen in the final results. Most actions I seen will just convert the whole image to look like a painting.........I want more control of what is seen in the final results by using a brush to paint what I want seen in the final results. What it converts to in the end isn't important but I would love to find something where I could convert the image so it looks like a painting, a pencil sketch, comic sketch, etc.

You can help me with what to search for or even better yet, if you know where I can find such actions, please point the way.

I spent 2 days on GraphicRiveer with very little luck or what I find did not provide me enough info for me to be certain I was getting what I wanted. Other than GraphicRiver, I have been googling but no luck.

Thanks

Need Some Directions On How To Create This Effect

Hi I'm quite a noob.
I would like to get some help creating this effect in photoshop.
1. The effect of having a gradient-like effect of the background. Is it made by creating a solid color and then using a large pixel soft brush to create the light effect?
2. The torchlight like effect of the images of the girl and the hands.
Thanks.

How Can I Do This?

Hi. Hope someone can help me out. I am trying to do this to my 3 solid shapes I created in PS. I want to replicate this picture below of 3 blocks. I do not know what to use to accomplish this effect. A brush? Eraser tool? The three shapes have a grey background. Any help in explaining how to accomplish this would be awesome! Thanks.

Rainbow Glare Effect

Hello Everyone,
I've been super in love with photographers/photoshoppers who use lots of rainbow glare type effects. I'm attaching photos. I've been trying to figure out how they do it, with gradients and brushes and all sorts of things, endless hours on youtube and I still can't replicate this effect. Anyone know how to achieve this effect? I would be SOOOO grateful and worship you for your genius.
