Image Canvas Wrap Around

Hi,
Is there any way to wrap an image off the top of a canvas to the bottom? In other words, if I use the Move Tool to start pushing an element off the top of my canvas, is there any way to have the missing part at the top of the canvas start showing up at the bottom? I would also want to use the same technique side to side. Thanks for any help

Possible To Automatically Position Images To Certain Areas?

Long story short...I need a way to quickly drag multiple images to my canvas and put them in certain places without any of them overlapping each other. At the moment, when I select multiple images and drag them onto the canvas, they all sit on top of each other right in the middle until I go to each layer and move to their own space.

Is there a way I can automate the images to go to the correct position? Having to go layer by layer doing that manually takes a lot of time when I have 20+ images per sheet so I'm hoping there is a quicker way. I'm well aware of actions but not sure how I can use that to place images to different parts of the canvas. As far as I know, creating an action will put each image on the same spot of the canvas but hopefully I'm wrong about that and someone can show me the correct way of setting it up.

Batch Saving To .png W/o Losing Canvas Pixel Dimension

Hi everyone, I introduced myself in a former thread. Name is Katie. I'm not new to Photoshop but am new to the more murky world of saving formats for various uses, printing, etc. I am in grad school, we're between semesters, and of all things they haven't really talked about saving! This week I was freelancing and saving to .JPG and .PNG, multiple images.

Problem:
I edited 150 images of product for a retail website on photoshopCS6. Company requires three sizes: two in .jpg, one in .png. Each image was in its own layer, in a group folder; a drop shadow effect was applied to the whole folder. For ea size requirement, I changed the canvas, resized all images at once to fit within it and ran the script.

I was able to run the Script on PS to batch save the .jpgs, and they RETAINED their canvas pixel dimensions in each image (700x525; 170x170). When I ran the same script to PNG-24, it worked but it DID NOT retain the canvas size and they were all wildly different.

I did some research, and found that people had to install script fixes to do this. I installed Dr. Russell's script for Image Processor Pro that should work in PS and Bridge. I tried it, still didn't work to retain size of PNGs. Am I simply using it wrong? Is that the only way to batch save certain file formats?

Because the images were due this morning, I individually saved every png ("save as" not "web/Devices") to ensure they were all 300x350.

I need to know there's a better way to do this for all other file formats, so I don't have to painstakingly save each image.

Script For Removing White Borders

Hi forum,

I have a ton of images that I applied a script to increase its canvas size width if they were too narrow. I've changed my mind though, Now I want to get rid of the white area around the sides of these images created from extending the canvas size.

Anyone know how I can do this with a jsx script?

Thanks in advance

Low Res 5x3 Logo Need High Res Help Getting It To 24x18

Hello,
l would really appreciate some help since I am coming to a deadline for printing some material. My problem seems to me like it should be quite eas, I have come close to a sufficient solution on my own but still not quite good enough resolution to print 24"x18" signs. In any case my issue is that I have an old design file of mine for a 5"x3" sticker with a logo on it as seen. When I try to enlarge it to the 24"x18" size the edges are way too pixelated. I have tried different selection techniques as well as refining the edges but no luck to make a high res version as yet. It's a rather simple shape and frankly I don't even care if it is redrawn to match at high res. In any case here is a copy of the logo in its native size on a 24x18 photoshop canvas. There is an image and an attachment Photoshop file, I would greatly appreciate it if someone can download the photoshop file and repost it with their efforts.
Thanks,
Dino

How Do I Select _all_ Pixels In A Layer?

I've noticed that I get a good flow painting over a textured canvas (blank canvases are not for me) when doing so I work with a brush with the opacity set to about 45 and two layers, the bg textures and the actual image.
When I feel I'm done with my sketch I want to exclude the bg layer but still use the texture seen through the actual image i.e. I want to select all pixels in the top layer, merge this with the bg texture and then cut it out.

I've tried a couple of techniques (incl. ctrl + click on the layer icon) but not found any technique that selects _all pixels_ in a layer without me having to manually add some here and there.
Anyone have a clue how to?

How To Make An "inverse" Layer?

I am sorry if I don't use the correct jargon throughout this post, I am a very occasional user of Photoshop!

I have Photoshop CS4 Extended.

I want to create an "inverse" layer.

Here's what I mean:

1) create a new canvas.

2) Choose a large, bold font and write on the canvas (E.g. "Hello World").

3) Select all the letters (using the magic wand tool, click on each letter while holding down the shift key)

4) Invert the selection.

5) Get stuck, no idea what to do next. Try various things and get nowhere!

I want to make a new layer that contains the inverted selection as a shape that I can do things to like any other shape (e.g. in the shape library).

So, for example, I could fill the surrounding area with red and the letters will be transparent.

I've tried converting the inverted selection to a clipping mask, but after that I get in a bugger's muddle.

Perhaps I am going about this in completely the wrong way? Perhaps there's a better way?

Once again, I apologise if I sound like a three-year-old trying to explain something to an adult, but that's the extent of my knowledge of Photoshop!!

Something To Be Shown At The Bottom When Exceeds The Top Border

Hi to all
I'm sorry for my not so great title, but I just don't eally know how to call what I want to do...
In general, I want to create a picture that if I were to duplicate it and put it on top of the original, it will "connect" and look like a continuation of the original picture.
This is an example of what I wanna do:

I can't use the same method I've used here to create what I want, 'cause I wanna do it on a more complex picture. Like this:

If such an ability can't be achived then maybe is there a way, that if I'm drawing using the brush tool but there is not enough space for the whole brush to be drawn, it will not be drawn?
That is a background for a video game that I am working on and it is very important to me. So if anyone in here know how I can draw things without them being sliced by the borders on the canvas please help me.
Thanks in advance,
Liav

Help With Borders?

So I have someone who needs some images resized, and wants a 4px border added. He wants the images to be 100x72. So, I make the image 96x68, and then I increase the canvas size to 100x72.

Now I'm not a full on photoshop expert, but to me that would seem like by doing what I did above, would create a 4px border. He's telling me that the border is 2px after I finished it. Could use some advice. Thanks guys.

Hello,

I usualy uses Gimp for this but I wanted to give a try with photoshop CC
I want to create a seamless texture, so I use the offset filter
but check the image, on second aplication of the offset filter, it creates a strange margin for noapparent reason, ruining the texture

Here I use smart objects, but I tried with a simple white canvas, drew black lines onf it and applied the filter twice, I dont have the problem

does anyone knows what would be the problem ? I tried restarting PS and reloading the image but same problem
