I have image scale 667 x 1000 px.
But I need scale 250 x 330 px.
I use Image size , not choose Constrain Proportions but image looks strange.
Can anyone help me how to scale it ?
Thank you
Hi Photoshop Gurus
I have been working on a billboard 414cm x 230cm and i have on 4000x6000pix image from a fullframe canon 5dmkii filling up the whole billboard.
What is the best way to save the image for billboard printing + preserve vector lines and text on top of the image?
(i have worked with the plugin perfect resize to scale up but don't like the results)
Now i make a psd. 1to10 (all smartobjects) and then save it as 3000dpi instead of 300dpi so the file is 10 times as big when printed and therefore full size. This way make the pdf's much smaller instead of making 1to1 resolution then i have to save as tiff since the file is over 2gb (can't save as pdf when to big) and the result is actually not as good as the pdf when i review the exports.. + 1to1 is very slow to work with since the files turn into 8gb psb and can be saving/loading for 30-60min sometimes.
Would like to hear your opinion on this billboard printing? What is the best method to get your design from screen to 414cm x 230cm billboard without any bad surprises in the printing.

The printing company wants the file in TIFF, psd, pdf,ai. My impression if pdf work with everyone so prefer to go with that, of no benefit with other formats.
Hi,
I am trying to measure microscopic spores and I want to be able to do this using Photoshop CS, am I able to do so? I can't seem to find anything equivalent to Analysis or set measurement, does this come under another tool in CS? I have taken a picture of the scale bar slide, have activated the measurement tool and drawn a line between measurement segments but can't find anyway of taking the measurement and customizing it for the particular measurement in this case. Could somebody help please?
Hi there,
I have looked for an answer to this problem but have not been able to find it - so I wanted to ask if anyone here know.
What I want to do is to tranform (scale etc.) a part of a Photoshop image I am working on. I need to work very close (zoomed in) so I can not see the transform handles that I normally use to drag when tranforming.
Is there any way to do transformations using the mouse (with a dragging motion) - without actually grabbing the transformation handles? (eg. using shortcuts / mouse)

Hello,
I am completely new to this forum so I apologize if this is posted in the wrong place. I am using Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and have a question regarding file size/quality. So, here it goes.
I am currently working on publication that requires all downloaded photos to be uploaded to a website that has a max file size of 20 mb. When I download an image to use for a background (some sort of a pattern that is normally somewhere around 800 x 800 size) the image is about 180 kb which is perfect. Unfortunately, the image has a poor ppi resolution and prints extremely blurry so in photoshop under image size, I increase the resolution so that the file size & resolution is bigger. This takes a lot of guessing on my part.
For example, if I increased the image resolution to 100000000 ppi, the file size would end up way over 20 mb which does me no good. So what I am wondering is, is if there is a way to optimize the the resolution of the image, given the file size limitations, without all of the guess and check?
If this looks confusing, I apologize and will gladly explain more. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Image shot on 5D Mk3 - using viewfinder not Live View.
Image converted to DNG.
In CC Bridge dimensions are as expected 5760 x 3840, in CC Photoshop under Image Size, dimensions are 1920 x 1280 (Original Size).
Same image in CS6 PS, dimensions given are correct i.e. 5760 x 3840
Any pointers as to what is going on and how to get the correct dimensions showing in CC PS, would be much appreciated.
Can I select and copy exactly half of an image (50% vertical selection) as part of an action? Each time I run my action it sets the selection to half of the size of the original image I made the action on, which doesn't work for me as all images are shot in different proportions.
Thanks!
Faye
Hi,
Were looking for someone who has the skills to edit the image below:
Image shows a garden area with dark grey granite flagstones which are all the same size and run diagonally.
The granite is going to be changed to Indian sandstone and below are some typical images of Indian sandstone.
(If you Google image "Indian sandtone" you can see many more)
Note the Indian sandstone in made of different size pieces.
The brief is to replace the dark grey granite with the Indian sandstone with correct perspective and proportions etc so we have a genuine realistic image.
We are happy to pay a sensible amount (ideally by PayPal)
Many thanks.
Hello again,
I'm editing an image and I've spent lots of time refining the details. I had to grab the image from a background and it did not leave so easily, at least for me, but I've gotten passed that. I'm now doing some finishing touches. There's some small parts of the image that lost detail in the transfer from backgrounds and some of it got muddy in areas as well. I am wondering what the best way to take individual parts of the image and put them in place underneath the edited image so that when I erase everything the quality piece of the image is revealed.
Thanks,
J
I am building a composite image, create a new image clean white background and drag from bridge the images I want to use in the composite. Here's my issue...the images I have brought in are automatically turned into smart objects..( love those) so I open one of those placed S/O images and edit/adjust it then save and close...like it should the composite reflects the change. I can open and close that s/o as many times and make tons of changes...again awesome....but I may want to use that same image by itself and want to retain those changes....but when I go to the folder that I took the image from, the original image does not reflect any of those changes.
So my question is, where on my computer does the edited version of the placed image get stored...I'm guessing a temp folder somewhere, but can't find it!! Any body know?
Thanks
Brendan
Hey there!
I've used a certain image as my avatar on various websites and I'd really like it redone by some awesome artist. Basicly just a remake/updated version of the image below.
So what I'm looking for in the image is a red devil that has a beer belly and white boxers with red hearts on them and who is wielding(?) a trident. Weird request I believe, I don't know if theres people doing this kind of stuff, but I decided to ask anyway.
The old image I have is quite a poor one, very small resolution also, but I hope you'd get the idea from the image:
(Also the beard and eyebrows of this one are awesome )
As of the new images resolution, I dont think it matters as much, I can downscale it myself I believe, but it will be used as an avatar on forums and steam etc.
Thanks in advance if someone's willing to do this for me.
