Giving Modern Day Photos A 1990s Style / Feel?

Hi
Ive got some images of some pals dressed up in 1990s clothing that I'd like to make a bit more authentic 1990s looking.
Any thoughts on re-colouring, saturation etc etc?
I'm not saying it needs to be as stylized as an Instagram type effect, but that kind of thing.

Many thanks in advance.

Need Help To Make An Eyefinity Wallpaper

Hello , first of all Iam very new to photoshop and to be honest I am planing to only use Photoshop to make wallpapers. And right now I feel that there is not alot of eyefinitywallpapers (5750*1080) that I feel that I enjoy so I was thinking I could put 3 images together and maybe add some nice blur effect so its not just 3 images together cause even I can do that just by selecting 3 different wallpapers If anyone would be so kind to help me out how to do this(and maybe even how to do some cool effects on images) please be precise since as I mentioned I am very new to this

Request: Collaboration For Testing A New Effect For Substituting Color In Images

Hi all, I'm new to the forum and I'm a freelance researcher in image editing.
I'm italian, so sorry in advance for my english .
I'm also a little crazy , I left my job as employee 'cause I believe in my researches and I want to make them my only job.
I developed a new effect for substituting colors in images. I would like to test the goodness of this new approach useful for retouching photos ... so I ask you a little collaboration, if you want to help me, you should retouch the image that I attached in this way: change the color of the pen fromred to white.
It's important to me to know how much time you spent in retouching the image and what applications you used for achieving the result, so please post the altered image together with the requested info. In a few days I'll post the image elaborated with my algorithm.
Really thanks to all, in advance, for the collaboration.

Art Deco Retro Poster Help

Hi I'm new here. I'm by no means a beginner but I'm not an expert either and there's still some areas of photoshop that I'm still unsure about. However I learn by experimenting.

I'm a big fan of retro style posters, particularly ones from the 1930s/1940s or appearing to look like from that era.

I've been trying to design some artwork to look like that but don't know how to get the 'human block effect' and the grainy gradient effect.

Does anyone have any tips of how to get about this? I'm not asking for a step by step guide because that would take too long for you. Just any advice that will get me started.

I'd like to add that I'm not trying to copy the following images and claim artistic license, I'm just merely wanting to recreate that style.

Here are some example images.

Thanks.

Looking For Some Help On Stacking Layers (subject Is Different Colors Of Hair)

Hi,

I have to generate images of combinations of two hair colors. There are 15 total colors, so that means 225 total images.

I was hoping to shoot photos of each of the colors without overlays, then photos of the overlays. I'd like to make the overlays (which do not cover the entire image) into individual layers and then use them over the base colors. I want the blending to look realistic, and so I need transparency that is accurate.

Any thoughts on how to do this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Help, Please!

So I have to do some begging and pleading on behalf of my sister...she had a very unfortunate situation where the photographer for her bridal portraits became very ill and failed to find a replacement. I have shot landscape photography pretty well for years and done some portraits so I got her phone call. She asked if I would shoot some urgent bridal portraits, which I did.

The pictures turned out decently. However, despite knowing how to use a camera, I am lost when it comes to editing. I am hoping there is a kind soul who is willing to help me with editing 2 or 3 photos. I have RAW images and there are no major changes--just altering sharpness, contrast, tones, etc. There is not cutting, blending, or anything involved necessary. I could just process the images and print "as is" and they would be decent, but I know someone who knows what they are doing could make them so much better.

Would anyone be willing to help me help her? She has a wedding photographer lined up now but really wants a decent bridal portrait for the reception. Her wedding is this coming Saturday. If anyone is kind enough to help me out editing some shots, please PM me. Thanks in advance for your kind consideration!

Pewdiepie Look

Hey guys, I'm new at this forum and I came here just because I've searched so much on the internet for some video or tutorial that help me make this effect above. I know that have many posts around this effect but none of them seems to be this one that the YouTuber PewDiePie use to do on his photos.

That's a mix of oil painting and unsharp mask perhaps, I don't think he uses Topaz plug-ins... I can get close but I can't get equal, can someone help me? Thank you already!

Background Without Using Images

Hey guys,

So I'm a rather new music producer and I make some wallpapers for my tracks using Photoshop and then put some effects in there using Adobe After Effects.
So I usually just use either a gradient or an image in there, but it's rather hard to find images without copyright that look good and fit the track title.
And gradients kinda look boring (just a few colors that overflow).

So I was wondering how people make these kind of backgrounds:

(quality kinda sucks because I had it on 480p by accident, but you get the point)

Or a bit different style like this:

Or this:

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I know the "READ ME BEFORE POSTING" thread clearly said "rather use img tags instead of linking to external websites" but it kept saying that I exceeded my tags by 20. So yeah, changed it into this. If anyone wants me to upload it to Imgur or something instead I'll do that.

Rgb To Cmyk Issue

Hi there!

im having an issue when I convert my photo to CMYK from RGB in photoshop.
The colour loss is huge, which is a shame but something I can adjust, however the other issue is that it's actually losing a lot of the detail with it. It's giving it the kind of effect you have when you whack the gamma up, almost like a solarised/white layer overlay effect or something. I've tried with the original and the flattened file but the results are similar.
The image may potentially be blown up to bus ad type size so it's really important the detail is still there.

Is there any cheat fix to this or perhaps something I'm missing?

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

How To Achieve This Portrait Effect?

Rainbow Glare Effect

Hello Everyone,
I've been super in love with photographers/photoshoppers who use lots of rainbow glare type effects. I'm attaching photos. I've been trying to figure out how they do it, with gradients and brushes and all sorts of things, endless hours on youtube and I still can't replicate this effect. Anyone know how to achieve this effect? I would be SOOOO grateful and worship you for your genius.
