Social media users are claiming that the white shape at the back of the image, circled, shows a ghostly face
I have been doing a short photoshop course to brush up on my skills. I am working on some social media images for an online radio station I have.
I just don't think it quite looks right, and wondered if anyone wanted a play and to teach me a few new things that might improve the image.
Would really appreciate some feedback on what you feel does and doesnt work in what i've created.
Thanks

Hi,
I'm wondering if this is possible:
The right side is what I'm trying to achieve.
It's a simple enough effect, but the problem is that I'm curious if it can be some sort of dynamic effect in that I can change the "A" text to "B" and still have the outline cut out of the "M" (Or whatever if I need to change the "M" text to "Q" or something).
Basically I need the "A" and "M" to be able to change while the stroke of whatever the "A" letter (or shape) is will always cut out whatever shape, text, or image is placed behind it.
Is this possible without having to manually cut it out of the back image every time?
The illusion can easily be created by having a white background and using a white stroke on the "A" (that creates the effect I'm wanting)..
However I need them to be transparent and easily editable so they can be saved as transparent images for multiple uses quickly and easily.
(I apologize if I didn't get this across very clearly)
Hi all.
I'm no newbie to Photoshop but today I came across something that annoyed me as it should be easy, but I just can't seem to make it work.
Ok, so let's say I have a load of text - lorem ipsum x 200 words - and I want to put that text in a shape and have it fill the shape.
Now, I know that I can make a path and click within it with the text tool to fill that path. However, I want to fill a shape that has a complex hole in the middle of it, which I want the text to flow around and past.
For example, let's say that I need to fill the area marked in green in the image below with text, leaving the white areas (there is also a white border) clear.
I have made a path but when I use the type tool it just fills in the rectangle and ignores the central area.
Any ideas?
Hi,
I have an image that I wanted to alter part of, and cannot work out how to do it. In the attached pic, the yellow marker on the far right is turned too far to the right (the black part of the cap shows it is too far right and not 'face on' to the camera). Similarly the green pen second in from the left has the same issue.
How can I isolate the markers with this issue, and rotate them vertically (on the axis as such) so that the images of these markers are directly 'face on' like the rest of the markers?
I have read about 3D conversions but not sure how to do it, and would have thought there is another way to resolve rather than having to convert the image to 3D? Appreciate any advice.
when i open a colour image file it opens in black and white, help please
Hi,When a black and white image is engraved by laser engraving, the engraving itself appears white on some materials. In other words black in the image is engraved white and white/gray gradually becomes transparent. (This is not simply the black and white image inverted)This is an example:
can I simulate this effect in Adobe Photoshop (CS6)?
Mod edit: The link was dead. Please upload an image if possible, thanks.
Hello,
I am not sure if this is even a necessary worry of mine nut I will pitch it out anyway. I will be printing the attached file on the back of a white t-shirt and I wondered if there was any technique that could be used to reduce the harshness or abruptness of the image that may be seen when the image is printed onto the white shirt. The color at the edges of the image is very light / almost white so fortunetly in most areas of the print you may not be able to clearly see the edge. if I am not making any sense I guess what I am trying to say is I would like for it to seem like the image fades away at the edges slighhtly rather than seeing a clear edge of the picture. I could imagine using some kind of edge eraser tool with a spotty brush or partial opacity but not really sure the best way to try and achieve it. The picture unfortunetly has texy of my url running very close to the edges so I would like to be careful that we don't fade any text away. Just wondered I would see if there was a quick and easy way to do it. Ideas are welcome. If you do any work please post back your .psd file and a brief description (if it's not too complex) of how you did what you did.
Thanks,
Joe

Hi,
Today I saw a picture that looks different on black background and on white. There is an example attached. Does anybody knows how to do this? I found an explanation on the link below, but doesn't worked for me (when I create the subtract layer, it doesn't result on a transparency layer):
graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/9088/image-that-looks-different-on-black-background-and-on-white
All I know is that the final image must be a PNG file, with transparency on it... But don't know how to merge the two images to get the effect of different images depending on the background color (black or white).
Can anybody help me to understand that effect?
Hi! I want to create some car light trails for a matte painting scene.
I'm using a "Stroke path with brush", applying Shape Dynamics so the brush size is reduced as it approaches the vanishing point of the scene (1st image).
However, when I use a Round Blunt tip (to produce a more realistic effect simulating the light trails of several cars, 2nd image), I'm not able to apply Shape Dynamics for the brush size (3rd image).
Do you know any other brush tip that could produce a realistic effect (such as in the 4th image), while also being able to reduce its size via Shape Dynamics?
Or what any other way could I achieve a similar result?
Thank you!
