Hello all
I'm a new member here so hopefully I'm posting in the right section!
Now... I'm not a newbie with PS but I just can't figure out how these lights and shadows were created on the characters. Btw, these photos were taken in a virtual world and then edited in, I assume, PS.
I really like the polished look. These pics look almost like some photos in magazines like Vogue.
I did speak to the guy who edited them and asked what his technique is, but he barely speaks English so he explained just that he uses different blend modes. I did try many times better new achieve anything close to these images.
How could I achieve this effect and what 'tricks' are there to creating such nice lights and shadows?
Thanks!
This is the original
And this is the edited one:
I'm just wondering what technique or filter did they use to achieve such result?
Thanks!
Hi Gurus, I have been working on trying to create an effect that resembles the image I have attached.
I have been trying to figure out how I can achieve this accurately so that it does not look "effecty". I like the analog feel this art work has which is probably near impossible to recreate.
I have tried to create this in illustrator but there are just so many subtleties in the light and shadows which i am not as experienced in as the original artist (Karel Martens).
Any advice, ideas or even programs outside of CS6 any one could recommend would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Jake
Hello everybody
Can anyone tell me how I can create portraits like this? I think the camera settings are very important but this picture has been edited a lot. Anyone know how I can achieve images like that with photoshop?
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
David

heres a screen shot of the poster i am trying to replicate.... I am NOT looking to do this for profit... simply for my own personal use for my son...
the results do not have to be exact... i am looking for the technique used to create the background...
heres the link to the web site that makes and sells the professional poster for more samples...

Hi Everyone,
I have an editing request for the two attached photos. I would like the shadows to be removed from our faces/neck. Can someone help us with this please?

Hi, I have seen a series of images by Chakrit Chanpen recently and I have been looking for a tutorials / tips / pointers on how he does it.
I can image it will be a complicated workflow including more than just one technique. I have been "googling" for the past two days and to be honest did not find much :/.
I don't need an inch by inch instructions ( I know what the masks, layers, adjustments, gradients, blending modes... are) but if anyone can help me to explain how to do it or point in the right direction I will be glad.
I can't post links yet so I will paste some samples here or you can just google Chakrit Chanpen and fing him on 500px.
Thanks,
Pavel
Hello Everyone,
I've been super in love with photographers/photoshoppers who use lots of rainbow glare type effects. I'm attaching photos. I've been trying to figure out how they do it, with gradients and brushes and all sorts of things, endless hours on youtube and I still can't replicate this effect. Anyone know how to achieve this effect? I would be SOOOO grateful and worship you for your genius.
