Band Lyric Edits

So for the first picture as well as the second, how do you all blend the textures onto the words well because I mask it on or clip the texture onto the text and it always turns out bad which is what I did in the third picture, I darken the texture and duplicate the texture and clip that on the text so it is lighter and it still looks odd especially when I apply blending modes. Now I did obviously rush on cutting out the person, but I usually use the quick selection tool so it still looks a bit off, so is the eraser tool better to use as shown in the fourth photo to get the girl cut out perfectly? And those are my questions, about the texture of the text and how to blend it and how to cut out specific parts of artwork of an album cover well and how to wrap anything around the text such as locks as in the second picture, so I really need help on answering those questions because no matter what I do, it turns out like the 3rd picture. I need steps and pictures so I can see your workflow and how you all do these lyric edits, thankyou! (Right click on the photo right next to this, the little icon so you can open and see the image)

How To Use Photoshop To Replace The Background Of Text Or An Object Within An Image

I'm not sure what this process is called so I couldn't even look up any tutorials.

I want to replace the text in an image with a different background/texture.

This is an example. I want to replace the white portion of the photo with a different photo or texture.

Printing Graphics Onto T-shirt

I am planning to print this attached graphic onto a tshirt on the front pocket area as a logo. When I put this logo onto the template and begin to pull the handles out to increase the size the image and text seems to pixilate and look somewhat poor. Any help keeping the text and graphic sharp would be appreciated. I plan to print this on a white t-shirt so I added a yellow oval with a little texture and border shading as well. If anyone wants to take a stab at making the background cooler (different color or texture, maybe even a fade would be welcome as examples). If you play with this and do any work posting up the .psd file for me to work from following your help would be appreciated. One other thing that is bugging me but that has been elusive is how might I drop the gray shadow text that falls underneath the web url? Even if I hide the text the shadow seemd to remain on the yellow oval. I will be posting a picture I have worked on for the back of this shirt in a seperate post as well.
Thanks,
Joe

How To Copy Text Style From A Photo In Cs6

Hi everyone I'm a complete beginner with photoshop, I have CS6 I'm looking to copy a style of text from a photo and replace it with other text.

The style of text I am trying to copy is from a stamp so I don't think it will be in selection of texts available in photoshop, have tried looking around youtube for tutorials but I cannot find anything along these lines.

I've attached a photo of the text I would like to change, it says JUN 2014 I would like to change it to AUG 2014 using the same text.

Any advice much appreciated

Thanks

How Do I Select _all_ Pixels In A Layer?

I've noticed that I get a good flow painting over a textured canvas (blank canvases are not for me) when doing so I work with a brush with the opacity set to about 45 and two layers, the bg textures and the actual image.
When I feel I'm done with my sketch I want to exclude the bg layer but still use the texture seen through the actual image i.e. I want to select all pixels in the top layer, merge this with the bg texture and then cut it out.

I've tried a couple of techniques (incl. ctrl + click on the layer icon) but not found any technique that selects _all pixels_ in a layer without me having to manually add some here and there.
Anyone have a clue how to?

Text In A Complex Shape - Hole In The Middle

Hi all.
I'm no newbie to Photoshop but today I came across something that annoyed me as it should be easy, but I just can't seem to make it work.
Ok, so let's say I have a load of text - lorem ipsum x 200 words - and I want to put that text in a shape and have it fill the shape.
Now, I know that I can make a path and click within it with the text tool to fill that path. However, I want to fill a shape that has a complex hole in the middle of it, which I want the text to flow around and past.
For example, let's say that I need to fill the area marked in green in the image below with text, leaving the white areas (there is also a white border) clear.
I have made a path but when I use the type tool it just fills in the rectangle and ignores the central area.
Any ideas?

Tie Fix - Dire Need

Hi Everyone,

I have a simple and hopefully quick fix. The tie was not adjusted in the picture and photographer did not pay attention to the detail and this picture will be used for the year book. I was wondering if somebody would be willing to take. I submitted a tie picture I had gotten fixed for my mothers birthday a few months ago so I was hoping I could get lucky again.

Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I realized that I ruined the picture dimensions trying to adhere to the forum attachment rules. I am fixing it at the moment and uploading a new picture.

The Ideal Tool

I want to work with this image, but I'm having trouble deciding which tool is the best to pull the subject matter from the background so that I can work with it more freely. Typically I use the pen tool. I put down about 756,982,012,117 anchor points and then I can pull the image out. It seems like there must be a better way. Although I like how well the pen tool does things as compared to magic wand, lasso, quick select, I have a feeling that perhaps there's an easier yet just as reliable way to do this. Render I think is the word some people use?

Help Editing A Photo

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if someone could please help me out. I do not have Photoshop, so I just downloaded GIMP tonight. I am beginning to learn the ropes but would really like a photo edited in the mean time.

There is an annoying pipe in the 2 attached photos that I would like to be removed, if possible. If anyone can spare a few minutes to remove it that would be awesome. Also, the lion in the first picture doesn't seem to be as rich in color and/or in focus as he is in the second picture, so if a certain effect (the picture seems "whiter" than the 2nd, so maybe it's too bright?) can be used to help him stand out that would be great. I trust your opinions/suggestions, so if you want to mess around with it and add certain things please do. I'm sure these two edits are very basic (item removal and sharpening/adding color to an image), so I hope to learn how to do it in GIMP within the next few days.

Thanks so much

Placing An Image Behind Multiple Lines Of Text

I'm trying to duplicate an Oklahoma City Thunder shirt for my university.

I know how to place an image behind text, but I'm having trouble getting it to look like I want. If I use one big text box, I can't get the letters close enough together.

If I use multiple text boxes, I can't get all the clipping masks to come together right.

Is there anyway to nudge the text together like you can in indesign?

Just looking for any help here!

Thanks!
